Situated in the southern region of Molise in Italy is a charming medieval village, Civitacampomarano. Through the CVTA Street FEST project, this small town - a real treasure frozen in time - seeks not only to revitalize its own structures, but also, in contrast, to transform itself into a global epicentre of urban art.

In this environment, amidst a picturesque mountainous region, full of cobbled streets and architecture that preserve countless historical vestiges, then appears the Bastion mural, on a 25-meter-high gable, by the artist Luna Buschinelli.

Bastion offers a reimagined contemporary perspective, albeit full of ancient symbolism. The work in question represents a dialog between the modern, the urban and the sacred. It remarkably exemplifies some of this enriching cultural exchange between Brazil and Italy, and in a juggling act that ultimately encompasses, even if indirectly, some of this plural culture that makes up Brazil's identity mosaic, marked by immigration.
